2025 FALL KICFF SUBMISSIONS OPENING SOON

Grounded in the heart of Knoxville, our mission is to become a premier destination for Christian filmmakers worldwide, providing a platform that sets new benchmarks for networking, collaboration, education, and showcasing creative story-telling while honoring God in “The Spirit of Excellence & Service."

The KICFF is open to anyone, no matter your experience or where you are on the map. We look forward to being blessed as we review works from creative Christians at all levels of experience.   If you are looking for recognition for your wonderful, Godly projects in feature films, videos, screenplays, theatre, books, or as a part of uplifting songs and entertaining faith-based family videos, then this festival is for you! 

The 2025 Spring KICFF awards were recognized live on Club 36 on TV 49 WBPI in Augusta, GA on Friday, June 13, followed by three live award showcases at RiseUP Con between June 27-29 at the Music Road Convention Center in Pigeon Forge, TN.  

We look forward to meeting you, visionary Christians, from all walks of life, who will gather together at one of our upcoming showcases to experience the brilliant beauty and powerful, creative energy in the amazingness of Knoxville and East Tennessee.

GUIDELINES

The theme of the KICFF is to honor God with your “Spirit of Excellence & Service. We trust that you will adhere to the following guidelines when submitting your projects:

* KICFF reserves the right to reject any submissions

* All projects MUST exemplify Christians values and represent God in a positive manner.

* No nudity or sexually explicit scenes.

* No horror films

*No offensive language (Use of the “F” word and/or the “GD” word, is automatic disqualification.)

* Reality is acceptable but NO unnecessary violence or language, which is strictly prohibited. (EX: Sound of Freedom is a great model).

* English subtitles MUST be used on all non-English speaking projects and must be comfortably readable by viewers.

* Entries must meet ALL requirements for each individual category in which they are submitted.

* You may submit multiple projects, however, each project MUST be submitted individually so that we may provide individual feedback and judging.

* Should your film, video, song, or related Christian project be selected for an award, you give us full permission to download a digital copy of your work and showcase it at the 2025 RiseUP Con.

* No refunds if your project(s) is(are) not selected for an award. 

* We look forward to being blessed by your amazing Christian projects.

16 CATEGORIES

KICFF is dedicated to showcasing and honoring creative Christians for their projects big or small, or somewhere in between. We have been beyond blessed to see the level of creativity that abounds throughout the world in each individual or collective groups efforts to glorify God and mankind with their projects; whether visual or written. With that in mind, we want to provide entrants into KICFF with a wide array of avenues to enter their projects. Here is a list of the current categories that will be open for submissions from February 1 - May 31.


1) Feature Film - 45 to 120 mins.

2) Short Film - 15 to 44 minutes. 

3) International Film - Christian values. Must have English subtitles if not in English.

4) Student Film - Christian film created by a student or group of students.

5) Student Feature Film - A feature film of more than 41-minutes but not more than 125-minutes, created by students that may or may not have been guided by a teacher or professor.

6) Educational Film - Christian educational film.

7) Mini-Film - Christian film less than 15 minutes. 

8) Trailer - Promoting a Christian project, no more than 5 minutes.

9) Documentary - Christian documentary up to 61 minutes.

10) Web Series or Episode - Christian Web Series or episode made for the internet/TV and posted on a website or a social media platform.

11) YouTube Videos - Christian videos posted on YouTube - 20 min maximum.

12) Animation/Cartoon - Christian value animation episode or series- 15 minute maximum.

13) Advertisement - Christian-themed advertisement film or commercial - 3 min max.

14) Soundtrack/Score - Original soundtrack or score for a Christian film of any length-20 min max.

15) Christian Song - Song used on a film soundtrack, a website, or social media platform.

6 minutes maximum.

16) Music Video - Christian music video that can be seen on a social media platform.
