A Blessed Email

Dear Mr. Ekno,

My name is Joshua Doll and we met at the 2025 RiseUp Con in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. If it helps jog your memory, I was the young man in the suit who asked for guidance on becoming a professional screenwriter and director. I wanted to sincerely thank you for taking the time to advise me on these aspects of my career. I can legitimately state that if I had come to the conference and only conversed with you, I would have left with enough information to have made the experience worth it. I believe that God is guiding me on how exactly I should go about pursuing this venture, and as such, I am grateful to you for allowing Him to speak through you and instruct me on where I should go with my career. Thank you for your openness and willingness to give me advice. God bless, Joshua

Thank You, Rob

I became a world class martial arts fighter and award-winning coach in the late seventies through the mid-nineties. As both an athlete and coach, it’s paying attention to the details, large or small, that can make a difference in the competitive outcome.
Enter Rob Ekno and the Knoxville International Christian Film Festival. I penned a script treatment titled “War Angels”, an award winner at the KICFF.
Rob saw the story’s potential, and here’s what I truly loved and respected.
Mr. Ekno took the time to coach me on making the necessary adjustments to improve the flow of the story as well as “cleaning up” a few grammatical errors.
I took his advice and revised my story. “War Angels” is now at a wonderful place to pitch to production companies.
Thanks, Rob, for your beautiful festival and mentorship.
Blessings,
Mark Aycock
